Then it was Frodo’s turn, and he produced a good test. Saturday was SJ day, and Bear was first in the ring again, we unfortunately rolled 2 poles (the ups and downs of eventing!) And then Frodo produced a beautiful clear round! Exciting as we were lying 7th going into the XC on Sunday!

Sunday lunchtime our XC started. Bear was first on course for the 1*’s and his 1* debut but he gave me the most incredible round, pretty much foot perfect around a good Irish course to finish inside the time, and in the top 15. Next to go was Frodo, I was a little nervous as I knew I had to go clear inside the time to stay in the placings! Luckily I had already ridden round the course, and have never trusted a horse like I do Frodo, so we went for it, and he also gave me an incredible round inside the time, to finish on his dressage score which meant we came 5th! I was over the moon to be in the prize money on the gorgeous Frodo. It comes with mixed emotion, as it would be my last ever competition on him, he has been sold as a school master to a lovely family in Ireland!

Ballindenisk CIC* We headed out to Ballindenisk in convoy with Team Whittington on Tuesday 18th April.
