<![CDATA[After a long tedious 3 \u00bd\u00a0hours in the lorry we stopped and stabled for the night about half an hour from Blenheim Palace. All the horses settled in very well getting a good nights sleep before the competition.<\/p>\n
On the Friday morning we got up at 7am, ready to get the horses plaited and give them a last minute wash! We took the horses for a 10 minute leg stretch around the \u00a0farm in Murcott, Kidlington before loading them into the lorries and heading on to Blenheim. We arrived at Blenheim in plenty of time and after a couple of hours of shopping we were all ready and mounted!<\/p>\n
Red was feeling on fantastic form jumping off really bold strides; the course was causing quite a few\u00a0problems as it was very twisty and the time was proving very tight! The first 7 fences were showjumps and the following 7 jumps were cross country fences, with the final fence being a showjump which caught out a significant amount of people including me! Unfortunately after jumping a beautiful fast round I wasn’t able to get Red back together and just rolled the last pole to finish on 4 faults. An annoying fence down but I was still thrilled with his performance!<\/p>\n
Overall it was a fantastic day with a lovely atmosphere. The team consisted of Issy Star, Chloe Howe, Amy Esterhuizen and myself which was great fun. We all supported each other and the other 3 girls also had good rounds, just picking up a couple of mistakes en route. We were thrilled to<\/p>\n
I would like to thank Blenheim Palace and the Pony Club for giving us such a fantastic opportunity, being able to ride at such a high profile event! An amazing day that hopefully we will be back for next season!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
