Kate Sanderson

Kate is an amateur dressage and event rider based in Northumberland. Kate keeps her horses on her small family run farm. She was bitten by the horsey bug at the early age of two! Where she progressed through the Pony Club ranks and is now competing affiliated British Dressage and British Eventing.

Kate has always produced her horses from scratch and she still starts her horses today in the same manner. She has a keen eye for a talented native and produces them beautifully.

Kate has been fortunate to produce and compete several horses for Badminton Grassroots, British Dressage Nationals, PetPlan Championships (Summer and Winter) and has produced her ponies up to BD Medium level.

Kate currently has 8 horses at home and are a mixed bunch ranging from 2 – 29 years old. She is also expecting her first homebred foal, which will be super exciting. Kate has a couple of 4 year olds who will be looking to expand their horizons next year and they will run along side the gorgeous Hillgarth Golden Opportunity (Dram), who Kate is aiming towards PSG.

Kate’s other little team mate, come yard sidekick, is Gunner her rising 8 month old Sprocker Spaniel, who she enjoys exploring the world with and beating with her local shooting syndicate. Kate is also a seriously talented artist, which we’re not sure many people know.
