Kirstie isn’t just one of the driving forces behind Forelock & Load – she’s also one of the friendliest faces you’ll meet. With a lifelong passion for equestrian life, the countryside and dogs, and supporting local communities and raising money for charity. Kirstie brings energy, vision into everything she does.
Whether she’s chatting with customers in-store, curating new products, or brainstorming the next big idea over a coffee. Kirstie’s love for what she does shines through in every part of the business.
A Passion for People and Ponies 🐴
Having spent many years in and around the equestrian world, Kirstie knows what riders and country-lovers need – and she’s always one step ahead when it comes to offering great value, practical products, and service with a smile.
When you come into the shop, don’t be surprised if you’re greeted by a wagging tail (or four!) – there’s a high chance you’ll meet one of Kirstie’s beloved dogs. Chaos, Baz, Dingo, or Esk who are part of the Forelock & Load family, and they’re just as friendly as their human!
Her mission? To make Forelock & Load not just a shop, but a space where people feel welcome, looked after, and part of something special.

Ask anyone on the team, and they’ll tell you: Kirstie often has a story to tell (usually involving a bit of mischief)! She’s also known for her impeccable taste in wellies and her uncanny ability to remember what every regular customer’s horse is called 🐎
