This year, I’ve made the step up to competing at international eventing competitions with my two boys.

Thanks to Kirstie, I have been kitted out in the most stunning Samshield gear, including a beautiful tail coat.  Having never ridden in a tail coat before, it was slightly daunting at first. However, the light material of the Samshield Frac Tail Coat and weighted tails made it feel like I was just riding in a normal jacket, with minimal flapping from the tails. What I love most about this tail coat is the stunning embroidery around the cuff, back and collar, giving it an element of elegance about it, which is a must for dressage! The fit is superior to other tail coats I tried on and it looked so tailored for an off the peg coat.

My final event of the season was my first 2*L at Bicton Horse Trials in Devon. I rode both my horses in my tails, and managed to score a personal best at international level which I was absolutely delighted with.

I am already looking forward to riding in it again next year, and I feel so grateful to have even been able to wear it this year, given all that has gone on!

I am incredibly grateful and proud to be a part of team Forelock and Load this year, I certainly wouldn’t look and feel so smart without all their support!
