Bomber Loose Ring Happy Tongue
The Happy Tongue is designed for horses who are sensitive in the mouth and particularly sensitive on their tongue. Bomber created the Happy Tongue to allow space for the tongue and to relieve as much pressure as possible allowing the horse to relax and accept the contact correctly.
, Bomber Bits are all handmade in South Africa and made from sweet iron. Due to the fact they are handmade, the joints are alot more anatomical and smaller than a machine pressed bit. Sweet Iron is a warm metal which encourages the horse to salivate and to accept the bit., Nel Bomber has focused entirely on the bits to ensure that minimal pressure is put on the horses mouth and especially the tongue, to prevent any tongue pinching occurring whilst being ridden., The Loose ring allows for immediate release and relief from the tongue and bar pressure which resets the bit into the horses mouth gently. Please note over time the Blue Sweet iron will change colour due to the moisture whilst inside the horses mouth, the bit will either turn a white colour or have a slight orange colour to it where the Sweet iron blue was. The Sweet Iron will still have a sweet taste whilst inside of the horses mouth., This bit is legal for BD and BE.
Fitting the Bomber BitThe bit should be fitted in your horse's mouth with the size (as you look at the horse) the correct way up for you to read and on your right-hand side. We recommend that you have the bit so the horse just has ½ to one lip wrinkle at the corner of the mouth. This might have to be altered if the horse has large canines. When fitting a bit with a fixed cheek e.g an eggbutt we recommend that the lip should sit flush with the butt to ensure a snug but not tight fit. When fitting a loose ring (pictured below) we like to see a bit of clearance either side of approx. 3-4mm to make sure the lips will not get pinched.
